It is that time of year again...the creepy crawlies are beginning to rear their ugly heads!
I found this guy as I was cleaning my front door this afternoon. He/she is an Orb-weaving spider. They are generally non-toxic/non-aggressive and like to hang out in gardens. They make huge webs to catch flying insects. Perhaps this is the spider that is making the webs I keep tearing down. It is not fun walking out of your door right into a web.
Hopefully this is just the first of the interesting insects/spiders I will photograph this summer. Enjoy!
